PolyBlock is and ICF made from Polyurethane. 

ICF stands for Insulated Concrete Forms. These forms act as both a mold for concrete walls and permanent insulation. The PolyBlock is made with Polyurethane and results in a high-quality ICF. PolyBlock is Class A Fire Rated and has many other benefits over the more common ICF made with Polystyrene.

Yes, PolyBlock can be used for residential and commercial buildings, including multi-story structures, with appropriate engineering. 

 Yes. Channels are cut into the polyurethane to run wires and pipes, typically using a reciprocating saw or router 

 Typical R-value ranges from R-50 to R-80 for the walls, depending on thickness and design. 

Extremely. PolyBlock structures offer continuous insulation, thermal mass benefits, and air sealing—resulting in 50%-70% energy savings over traditional framing and 20%-30% over Polystyrene forms. 

 The concrete core is non-combustible and in addition the PolyBlock itself is Class A Fire Rated and Category 5 Hurricane proof.  

Upfront costs are typically 3-7% higher, but reduced labor and long-term energy savings offset the initial investment. 

Partially. Some systems are designed for DIY use, but pouring and vibrating concrete correctly usually requires professional help.

No – PolyBlock is resistant to pests and rodents. (Other common ICF made with polystyrene block are not a food source, but rodents, ants and termites may tunnel through.)
